Inspire students to fulfill their purpose

“Respectful and challenging. Allows a child to operate at very advanced levels. Students learn for themselves, not to please others.” SCM Parent

Why should you choose Santa Cruz Montessori?

An SCM education will provide lifelong benefits and is the most important investment you can make for your child. The results of an SCM education are clear: Children become young adults who are self-motivated, caring individuals who make positive contributions to the community.

Some find their passion in the sciences or engineering, others in the arts or the helping or teaching professions, while still others become entrepreneurs. Whatever the path they choose, your children are superbly prepared both academically and as whole people for whatever their goals might be.

Your child will learn responsibility, independence, collaboration, and respect for self, others, and our world--all wrapped within a robust curriculum of rigorous academics plus arts, drama, and foreign language. Whether you measure the results of an SCM education by the top-notch high schools and colleges our students attend, the surprisingly large number of high school valedictorians that come from SCM, the joy alumni find in their career choices, or by your child's enduring love of learning and achievement, you'll feel comfortable knowing that an investment in your child's education now is the best gift you can give. It's all available through the Montessori method and SCM.

Scholarship Information

40%
of SCM
students
receive
financial aid.

Approximately 30%-40% of our students receive scholarships to attend SCM, and the average financial aid award is approximately $6,500.

Parents fill out their financial aid forms on-line through the outside service FAST, which determines each family's financial resources available to use toward tuition, and then makes a corresponding recommendation to the school. The Financial Aid Committee makes the awards based on the recommendations and available funds. Through its financial aid policies, Santa Cruz Montessori is committed to doing everything it can to keep our current families and to support economic diversity within the school.

To apply for financial aid please click on the following financial aid service link: https://www.ismfast.com/FastPage.php?id=bb0a9c01a7ad74cc83249e12083b66eb

In addition, you will need to submit your tax return to the service in an envelope available through the school. You will need to also submit a copy your returns to the school.

In order to be considered for financial aid, you must have an enrollment application on file with the school. The Enrollment application form is available for download on the How to Apply page. Fill out and submit it with your $50.00 enrollment fee per family.
